WHAT IS AVANDIA?

Avandia is a medication prescribed in pill form used to treat Type 2 (non-insulin-dependent) diabetes mellitus.  Avandia works to lower blood sugar levels, making cells more reactive to the insulin in the body without increasing insulin production.²

Although Avandia is used mainly to treat Type 2 diabetes, it may be used for other conditions, like Non-Alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease.

• gradual weight gain
• mild diarrhea
• back pain
• runny nose
• ovulation
