Please note: As of 2014, the pharmaceutical attorneys at Simmons Hanly Conroy are no longer accepting Pradaxa lawsuits. The following post is for informational purposes only.
The Pradaxa lawyers at Simmons Hanly Conroy are currently investigating incidents of death, bleeding and stroke in individuals who took the drug Pradaxa (dabigatran), a type of blood thinner prescribed to prevent strokes or serious blood clots in people diagnosed with non-valvular atrial fibrillation, the most common type of heart rhythm abnormality. If you or a loved one took Pradaxa and suffered one of these injuries, you may be able to file a Pradaxa lawsuit against the drug manufacturer, Boehringer Ingelheim Pharmaceuticals.
Pradaxa works by preventing clots from forming in the blood. But in Dec. 2011, U.S. regulators issued a safety announcement regarding the post-market reports of serious bleeding events with Pradaxa. The FDA is working to determine whether the reports of bleeding in patients taking Pradaxa are occurring with more frequency than would commonly be expected. More than 260 fatal bleeding incidents in patients taking Pradaxa have been confirmed by the drug’s manufacturer.
Pradaxa has been on the market since October 2010. Since that time, it has been associated with hundreds of reports of serious, disabling or fatal injuries. During the second 2011 quarter, it was linked to 177 patient deaths, according to the Institute for Safe Medication Practices.

PRADAXA IN THE NEWS
I appreciate the hard work of the Simmons firm. This outfit is something else. I did not expect to hear from them after everything was done, but they still call to check up on me.
